At Note by Note, we want our students to learn how to play their instrument while also enjoying the process of learning! We teach engaging and convenient in-home music lessons while giving students performance opportunities twice a year.

About Note by Note Music Studio
Briana started Note by Note out of the spare bedroom in her home. But she quickly discovered something — students actually learn better in their own homes. So she started driving to them instead.
She got busy fast. Then she got a waitlist. So she hired a teacher to serve those families in their homes too. That was over a decade ago.
Here’s what she learned: when a student isn’t rushing across town to a busy studio, when they’re not distracted by other students learning in the next room, when they’re comfortable — they learn better. Music is a personal experience. It’s not a standardized curriculum or a one-size-fits-all thing. It’s different for every child.
That’s why Briana personally matches every student to their teacher — by personality, music philosophy, goals, teaching style and location. So from day one, your child has someone who fits them.
Then came the other calls.
“Do you have a guitar teacher?”
“What about voice?”
“My other kid wants drums.”
We didn’t set out to offer five instruments. Parents asked and we listened.
When families moved to a new city they called and asked if we could find them a teacher wherever they landed. So we did. Today Note by Note is in 3 states and growing!
We believe deeply in the power of recitals. There is something magical that happens when a student performs in front of family and friends that no lesson can replicate. The confidence, pride and proof of their own progress.
So wherever we go, recitals come with us.

Note by Note student's age ranges from 4 years old through adults!
Whether your child is taking their very first lesson or continuing their musical journey, our instructors create engaging, personalized lessons that match each student's age, skill level, and learning style.
Students are encouraged to choose their own recital song which helps them stay motivated and develop a lifelong joy of music.
There are many different approaches to music education. After getting to know each student, our instructors recommend the curriculum and learning approach they believe will best support that student's goals, learning style, and musical interests.

Briana Christian
Hi! I'm Briana!
I decided on the name, Note by Note Music Studio because in my lessons when a student got frustrated they were often able to overcome and continue learning by focusing on one note at a time.
I'm often asked, "Can anyone learn to play an instrument?" And I always answer, "Yes!"
Whether you're introducing your child to the world of music or pursuing your student's musical interests, I strive to find instructors that are dedicated to providing engaging and age-appropriate lessons suited to each student's developmental stage and skill level. And I look for instructors that LOVE to teach!
I've found that when children begin a music education at a young age, they not only develop a lifelong appreciation for music while enhancing cognitive abilities and fostering creativity but there are studies that show for students 6 years old and younger they have gotten better grades in school and have strong careers as adults.
We tailored lessons to the student which gives them the opportunity to pursue a passion, develop new skills, or simply enjoy the therapeutic benefits of playing an instrument.
As many of our students are busy with school and other activities, Note by Note Music Studio has chosen to only offer music lessons in the convenience of your home. It gives you and your student more time at home, but I've found that many students learn music better in a familiar environment.
